Parking and Transportation
Students, employees, and visitors may purchase a single day permit at a dispenser for $5 on weekends. The dispensers are located in parking lots E2, G, K, N and at the kiosk on the right side at the top of Harder Rd. Daily permits are only valid in general lots. After 5 P.M., these permits are also valid in staff lots.
Closest lots are K, L and M. Overnight camping is not permitted.

Visitors will arrange their own lodging.
The first host hotel is Hampton Inn Hayward, 24137 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544. It is down the hill from campus.

2. Put the check-in date and check-out date
3. In the “Group/Convention Code: field type in “BNA”
4. Click continue
5. Pick room type and fill out requested information with individual credit card

Sept 17 Workshops
Workshops on Sept 17 will occur 6:30 to 8:30pm for discussion groups around Black Native American History, and exploring the contemporary relationships with Native Americans. A panel of experts will facilitate the discussion groups in cooperation with the CSUEB Sociology Dept.
Near Parking Lots L & M . Signs will be posted.
Workshops will examine Red/Black relationships and how to improve them. Noted participants on the panel include Lonnie Harrington, author of " Both Sides of the Water." a Seminole teacher/artist at the prestigious Arts Connections in New York and a native American Drummer; Dr. Andrew Jolivette, Associate Professor and Department Chief of American Indian Studies at San Francisco State University and author of "Louisiana Creoles: Cultural Recovery and Mixed Race Native American Identity;" Dr. Elnora Webb-Mitchell, President of Laney College; Pastor Steve Constantine, Arawak Tribe, Guyana, South America and Jewelle Gomez,poet,critic and playwright, Director Cultural Equity Grants Program of San Francisco Arts Commission.
Another topic of interest will be how to trace one's roots through genealogy searching, to be led by the African American Genealogical Society Northern California Chapter, Oakland.
